Cozy Italian corner restaurant. I love it. Food, service, staff, ambiance, everything is really great.
Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, Il Pastaio, offers a delightful dining experience. If you're looking for fresh pasta and an elegant ambiance, this is the place! High-quality dishes and excellent service. The Ravioli di Spinaci e Ricotta is a must try. Anthonyxibarrax
I have been trying to go to Il Pastaio for eons. For some reason trying to get a reservation here was damn near impossible. Now it's like taking candy from a baby. It's a Beverly Hills hot spot, so I can see why, but the food is also really good so no surprise there. I had the Bucatini pasta but I kind of wish I tried a lighter sauce. It was my first time having Bucatini so I'm not mad about it, it was really good, just a heavier dish than I had expected. We also enjoyed the mussells as an app and these were wonderful. The service is kind and I appreciated the hostess for being accommodating when I had to abruptly shift my reservation. In terms of dining, the inside of the restaurant is where to be - it's classic Italian through and through. Though the outdoor street scene is also an appealing spot as well. Overall, I really had a great time at Il Pastaio and imagine another visit at some point to see how the other pastas are. Yum!
The food was excellent and the wine was delicious. Very consistent across all dishes. I ordered a pasta with a venison ragu that was great, the beef carpaccio appetizer was delicious, and we had the wine of the month which was a Riesling. The portion sizes were great, I would certainly come back for the food. However, the service was a bit strange. Our waitress checked in on us very often at first without taking our orders, then rushed us a bit all at once. It wasn't a negative experience, just a little bit weird.
I will come back ! The food was delicious. It's a small lil nice place. Great for dates. I came for a birthday dinner with a friend and this is what we ordered As an appetizer we got the Burrata Pugliese con Prosciutto (10/10) Homemade pasta with the cheese wheel(10/10) Rigatoni alla Norma (8/10) & to drink their espresso martini (9/10)
I want to give a review that is most honest. First I would start with. Most Yelpers should be rated. Some bad yelpers can really hurt businesses that are actually good. Now, this review will not have a photo. Though that may be so. My reviews are only given to establishments I really find to be special. My experience at "il Pastaio" was amazing to say the least. I had a heinekin 0.0 to start it off. It is a place of elegance and status. And the power fills the room with its presence. The service was amazing the bartender, was a nice guy. Well mannered, patient and knowledgable. He gave me an in depth opinion on the moat popular dishes. I ordered the half lobster pasta(i cant remember the dishes exact name but it was good) And along with this. I would to finish it in less than 10 min or so. It was so good. I cannot see myself not going back it was so good. After this, my favorite would come to be the desert. I ordered the Limon Tartinini. This little bit of dessert was amazing. And along with this. I would order a cappuccino to go along with it. It was delicious. I hope they do excuse my table etiquette, I did not use my utensils in thee most appropriate manner to say the least, kinda felt like Julia Roberts in a fancy place for the first time when I was messing with the lobster. But hey... it was an excellent evening there at "il Pastaio." I have concluded, "you go to cheesecake factory when you want to be somebody. You go to il Pastaio when you are somebody." Take my word for it my experience was nothing short of excellence and I hope this helps you with your considerations. Thank you. 10/10
Perfect date night restaurant! Valet parking is available for $15 and front row for $35 (I think). Indoor and outdoor seating is both available but in my opinion inside is much better. I ordered the burrata, the eggplant parm, the vodka penne with chicken and the salmon. Drinks were their lychee martini, apple martini, limoncello and iced latte. Dessert was the pana cota and the fruit tart. For someone who hates eggplant I tried it and absolutely loved it here. The texture is perfect and the flavor of the tomato and cheese complement it so well. Huge compliment to the older Italian waiter who was super patient with everything!
My friend took me here today for a Birthday lunch which was so kind of her! The sour dough bread is freshly made piping hot with yummy creamery butter 5 stars** We had calamari which was lightly breaded and Caesar. Meh flavored except for the tomato dipping sauce. 3 rating ** My salmon pasta dish was delicious. They got the El dente so 5 star ** My friend's cacciatore was slightly burned and dry so she wasn't too happy about it 3 star *** Our server was super funny and nice his name is Benny. He took it up a notch 5 star *** What they didn't do in the food department this time was made up in the fact we were not rushed and the servers were all sweet and charming. This made the ambiance 5 star especially people watching and laughing at the McClaren who was showing off opening up his sliding wing doors and driving off obviously not knowing how to close them! Just another day in Beverly Hills! Rounded it to a 4 star experience
Very far and few in between would I ever show up on a Friday night but after a long week of work and a crazy Friday I decided I needed some delicious pasta. This place is always busy and Friday night was no different. Such a pick me up food. Service was amazing and seating outside was beautiful at night. Started with espresso martinis and ordered the mussels and clams. This was a great dish. It was hot, with some garlic tomatoe flavors. Followed that up with the truffle polenta, which was good but not really my taste for next time. I really wanted it to be cheesy but it was very creamy. For the grand course the truffle pasta in the wheel cheese. By this point we were so full but there's no way not to finish this delicious plate with fresh truffles on top. After all those drinks and delicious food I forgot about my hard week at work and was just nice and full. I'll be back again, especially after a long week.
Came here on a Tuesday night and having to wait for 15 mins for a table tell you how popular this place can be! It is a high end Italian restaurant right in the middle of Beverly Hills. Our friend is a regular here so he took care of the ordering. We ordered seafood tomato based soup, lobster linguine, T-bone and Filet mignon, lentils and shrimp salad, and many more. Everything is so delicious and with the right portion so you don't feel stuffed after trying different dishes. The desserts are a must too! The only down side is the waiter forgot our fried calamari but still included in the bill. We caught it and it was not a big deal for us, but he apologized and corrected right away.
